Jawaid and Kulsoom, a dynamic couple with a shared passion for comprehensive wellness, relocated to Kingston, Ontario from the United Kingdom just before the pandemic began. Kulsoom, a leading mental health clinician with a doctorate in mental health, and Jawaid, an accomplished Professional Engineer, quickly recognized a significant gap in Kingston’s wellness services - they were often fragmented and lacked a cohesive approach.

Driven by their vision of a collaborative and integrative approach to wellness, they decided to establish the J&K Wellness Centre. Their goal was to create a hub for mental health wellness

At the J&K Wellness Centre, they offer a wide range of services, including mental health support, group and yoga services. Kulsoom's expertise in mental health, combined with Jawaid's engineering skills, allows them to design innovative wellness programs that cater to the unique needs of each individual.

Today, Kulsoom leads Kingston’s premier mental health service, J&K Mental Health, offering specialized care for eating disorders, leadership challenges, high achievers with unresolved trauma, and panic attacks. Her compassionate approach and extensive experience have earned her a reputation as a trusted clinician and leader in the community.

Jawaid, on the other hand, relies on his engineering knowledge and applies his problem-solving skills and innovative thinking to support the operational aspects of the Wellness Centre. His technical acumen and dedication to quality ensure that the center runs smoothly and efficiently, providing the best possible care to its clients.
